Buyer-Ready Path

The buyer-ready path is the sequence of four beliefs a prospect must hold before they feel ready to book a strategy call — that the problem is real, a solution exists, the method works, and the expert can help them specifically.

The buyer-ready path is the framework behind effective lead generation for expertise-based businesses. Prospects rarely fail to book because they lack interest — they fail to book because one or more of four core beliefs has not yet been established:

  1. The problem is real and expensive. The prospect must feel the weight of their problem before they'll pay to solve it. Content that names the problem with precision does this work.
  2. A solution exists. The prospect must believe the problem is solvable — not just in general, but for someone in their specific situation.
  3. This method works. Credibility must be methodological, not just reputational. The prospect needs to understand the mechanism, not just trust a name.
  4. You can help me specifically. The most personal belief — that this particular expert understands their situation well enough to produce results for them.

Content strategy, funnel design, and email follow-up sequences are all most effective when organized around building these four beliefs in sequence. When the buyer-ready path is complete, strategy calls convert from conversations that convince to conversations that confirm.
